L'Inopiné White.
Great wines of the Luberon
Our L'Inopiné range consists of elegant and subtle wines with a balance that respects their terroir.
They reflect the meticulous and delicate work done on the vines throughout the year and the manual harvest we procede to in order to get the best from our grapes before they go into the cellar.
Vintage: 2023, a well-balanced vintage. After a winter without a drop of water and a begining of spring not much more watered, putting the vines under pressure during their winter awakening, the rains finally arrived at the beginning of May. These late rains made the first work in the vines a little more complicated than usually, but also helped to recharge soils, thus promoting the development of the vines and their grapes.
Summer was also well-balanced, with warm sunny days and cool nights. September and its harvest... Beautiful days, cool nights and homogeneous ripeness allowed us to manage our harvest without constraints. 2023 is a vintage marked by the freshness of our white and rosé wines, and the lovely balance of fruit and substance in our reds.
THE WINEMAKING
Grape varieties: Roussanne (50%), Grenache blanc (25%), Rolle (10%), Viognier (10%)
Soil: Sandy loam and gravel
Climate: Land parcels located at 300 meters altitude at the foot of the Luberon mountains. In summer, the microclimate allows Maslauris grapevines to benefit from cool nights which reduce the heat of the day. The presence of the Mistral wind, which is active year-round, plays a key role in the irreproachable healthy state of our grapes. These different factors bring subtlety to our matured grapes and lively to the wine.
Grapevines: Vines are certified organic, harvested by hand with the strictest rigor, very early in the morning using headlamps, in order to bring the grapes in cold and thereby preserve their integrity.
Vinification: Maceration for a few hours in the press to promote aromatic extraction. Cold stabulation before alcoholic fermentation, certified organic vinification. 15% will have fermented in barrels, 15% in a concrete egg and the rest in stainless steel tanks.
Ageing: Blending of the juices in stainless steel vats then ageing on fine lees for 4 months. Bottling at the end of winter, respecting the lunar calendar to preserve the maximum aromatic potential.
Alcohol level: 13,5% vol.
THE TASTING
Robe: This wine possesses a magnificent green gold robe.
Nose: A crisp and elegant nose reveals aromas of white-fleshed fruit with hints of brioche and exotic fruit.
Palate: A lively attack, rounded out by its body and a graceful structure. A well-balanced wine with a long finish.
Pairings: Ideal with fish, seafood, white meat, but also cheeses such as Luberon goat cheese with a hint of honey.
Ageing potential: Ready for consumption. Potential of 5 years of ageing.
